That said it is a great turtleneck, I even got compliments on it at work -who would have thought, a compliment on a plain black turtleneck

I am a 14 in a shirt and the xl fits nicely, not too tight or baggy. I found the necks on these sweaters to be comfortable. They washed well on delicate and I air dryed. The ribbed-trim turtle neck is very wearable on its own, under a sweater, or as a second layer in winter. It is breathable, comfortable and really a wardrobe staple. Now I wear it with capris on cooler spring days. It is a great sweater.
