    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    fairly small for even a small dog or cat. I have been using this for a small bird (sun conure) for short trips. However I do not trust the closure so constant supervision is required. Quality of materials and construction is fairly poor(glue drips onto fleece, fairly cheep appearing hardware and inside pocket) and I was going to return this but right away the conure found this to be intresting (fuzzy fleece I guess) so we kept it. If nothing else he appears to have fun trying to destroy it.
