Austin Reed Ashgrove Zigzag Blazer - Petite (For Women)

I like the short length of the jacket and the material. I ordered a 12 petite and the only alteration needed is to the sleeve length. It will suit many occasions.

This is a very well-constructed jacket with a neat, subtle design in the cloth weave. It would be very versatile if it fit. But, a petite is too short in length for me. The opening into the arms is big but this doesn't translate into easy movement; lifting your arms lifts and pops out the whole front of the jacket and if it's buttoned it really looks bad to do this. Not for an active person like me. An 8 was sort of too big around for the length. Expect the chest measurement to run a little big, I would say. Had to send it back.

This is a really beautiful jacket but my size 6 felt very short, almost like a petite. I'm 5'6". The workmanship is gorgeous. It would look best on a very thin individual who's not too tall, unless you like a very short jacket.

I wore this at a professional meeting yesterday and discovered it is made from a nice fabric that did not wrinkle, kept me adequately warm in the windy weather outside, and was comfortable to wear all day inside the meeting room. At the end of the day it still looked pressed and tidy.

Nice jacket, many uses, great casual dressy.
