“way too long”

“These pants are beautifully constructed. I love the rosy hew to the tan fabric and the dark chocolate lines in the plaid. However, the fabric also has a shiny gold thread running intermittently through the tartan, kind of speckled throughout, probably to soften the plaid. When I first saw the shine, I contemplated returning the pants as I thought they were not work appropriate and would be better for a workplace x-mas occasion. After wearing them around the house for several hours, I came to believe the shine was not so obvious. I haven't worn them to work yet, though. (We just had a warm spell here). The pants fit perfectly everywhere EXCEPT they puddled all over the floor. (I have a 31 inch inseam). With the cuff opened up, at least 5" got cut from the bottom. The cuffs were among the casualties of the alteration process. Though the rise might pose challenges to some, I mainly wear this style of pants, as I am long-waisted and the low-rise creates more of a visual drop between the bust and the "waistline" of the pants. For this reason, these pants came as a pleasant surprise, because the rise is not so "low" as to be inappropriate for work or for someone of middle age. There also is ample room in the thigh to make the pants seem less "Italian" inspired and therefore more appropriate for someone of my age at the workplace.”
