However, they're not a perfect choice either. The flap straps snap onto the underlying pockets as well at the flap so it's a little complicated. The leather is a little stiff but hopefully will soften up with use. Not alot of pockets but probably all that I really need.

But he loved it anyway, until today-- his pants (khakis) were covered in black smears on the side on which he carries the bag. Were we supposed to finish the bag with oil or something??? There were no instructions to do so...

But, our house was one of the houses that burned in the Colorado Wild Fire from Waldo Canyon so I never got the chance to give it to him. I'm such a fan of the product that, I am going to buy it again once we come to a better place after our devastating experience.

I do wish the bag had leather type interior verses the sturdy cloth but it does discuss the cloth in the booklet that comes with the bag (just a preference). I sure cannot grip with a price this low for a leather bag that I will use as a business brief. Great bag for the money and bang for the buck.

Answer Should not be an issue. I have a 17 inch and 17.3 inch laptop's for business and both fit just fine. With that stated you might need to add some cushion for support on the bottom (maybe out of an old laptop bag). I hope this helps.

Answer A small laptop fits fine. One thing I really like about this bag is that my Kindle and Kindle Fire will fit in the pockets that are just under the flap. Almost like it was made for it. It's a snug, but not tight, fit. I've had this bag about 7 - 8 months and love it.
