The best thing about this bag is the heavy leather and solid construction. The fittings are not very good quality. The burlap interior is very unattractive and I am concerned that it won't hold up over time or repel stains.

I looked at a lot of messenger / business bags on line and found this bag had a great combination of classic styling, size and quality for every day carrying back and forth to the office. Good for casual days or when dressed up. The waxed leather gives it a durable, vintage look. No problems with stitching or snaps. Nicely finished interior. A good value.

a great bag, leather is high quality. My Macbook in a sleeve fits nicely. They really need to work on the snap closure. Very hard to close unless stable and snaps are not of the same quality as the leather.

A superb bag. My only issue is the snaps used to hold the main flap closed. I travel through airports a lot, and would much rather have working buckles, not the fake ones. I could care less about how easy it is for ME to open and close the bag, as long as it is extremely difficult for anyone else to open the bag. So I'm going to take it to a tack shop to get the snaps removed and the buckles made to be the working closure.

I was looking for a bag that could stand up to carrying my laptop to and from my office without breaking. All the other cheap laptop bags I purchased in the past broke with only moderate use so I figured I would buy one of genuine materials and sturdy construction. This bag only lasted a few months of moderate use before the strap broke at the seam. I love the bag in general but I was expecting better. Only purchase this bag if you plan on carrying nothing heavier than a portfolio and a cell phone

I would up-grade the metal strap fittings to a heavier quality. The ones that are on it stick from the coating and seem to be a undersized for the quality and weight of the bag. I will be using this for an airline carry-on. It should work perfectly for what I need on my trips.

I returned the bag because it was evident that the threading would not last where the handles attached to the bag. If a little extra care was given to the stitching this bag would be much more functional for the long haul and frequent & heavy use.

This bag is actually a replacement for one I had purchased about one month earlier. The problem is that the snaps used to close the bag are too tight and they broke on the original bag. When I received this replacement bag, the very first thing I did was to coat all the snaps (both top and bottom) with a moly based lubricant. This has proven to be the easy answer to the problem, and I've had no difficulties with this one. The leather and interior fittings are first rate and this bag can hold far more than you comfortably carry for your daily needs, unless you are an anvil salesperson.
