Australian Bag Outfitters Digger Backpack with Leather Trim

Bag has a great look to it. Rough and tumble ruggedness at the same time upscale and well made. Should last a LONG time, great leather accents that double as reinforcements at stress points or areas that will get a lot of use. Plenty of usefull pockets that can actually hold things.

Great backpack for travel, however getting in and out of the main compartment can be a little time consuming with the buckles.

I was happy to receive the backpack it looked very cute, had a lot of pockets, it had a lot of padding and it seemed that it could protect my electronic devices. I gave the pack 5 days of use before I judged it. It now sits on the top shelf of my closet. The straps where just to uncomfortable. They needed to be a bit wider and more sturdier. I have had a few hip surgeries and need to carry extra weight evenly which a tote does not provide. So I am always looking for cute but sturdy backpacks and this backpack just did not get a passing grade.

This is a very good looking, classy bag. Nice design and trim, goes with my work clothes without the usual frumpy backpack look. It's nicely padded all around and though it's made with quality materials, it's not very heavy. Good amount of useful external pockets, which is useful because the main compartment is not huge. It's big enough for me to carry lunch, a book or ipad, and my phone, wallet, etc., so it does the job. If you're a student looking to carry 3-4 big book, though, it might not work. The other thing to consider is that the main compartment is zipped up, but the outside flap that goes over that is fastened by buckles, which are kind of a pain to buckle. You have to set the bag down somewhere to buckle them. Unbuckling them is pretty easy to do, on the other hand. Maybe would have been better to have the buckles for show and put some velcro behind them for the actual fastener.

Was hoping it would be a bit bigger...hard to tell by picture. My biggest complaint is the shoulder strap adjustors dont hold well. When it it adjusted to my size...it will not stay tight. Unless you are a small person dont expect to put this on your back. I will use it at my outdoor center for small gear carrying...but not on my back.
