    A well constructed day bag that is smaller than I expected. Might be usable as a gym bag or tote. I bought it thinking I'd use it for weekend jaunts, but it is too small. Buy the duffel. Makes a good reel bag, though. I cut the handle wrap off; it was way too large and clumsy.

    My son was looking for something that was like a vintage leather messenger bag. This bag had just the right vibe about it. We ordered the chocolate brown. The bag came and it was more of a washed out olive green. It would only be good for very casual use. I ended up buying a real leather bag.

    The description said this was leather, waxed leather at that. THis is more like SUEDE, which is not a good choice for an everyday bag in Seattle area--think SODDEN. Its soft and feels nice which is the only reason I haven't returned it already. That and Im just plain lazy and hate going to the post office.

    The bag has lots of room in both compartments. However, the stitching is of poor quality. When you unzip the backpack, you see loose threads. One of the straps started to come loose at the seam after just two months of light use. I think this bag does not work well as a backpack because there isn't much support around the shoulders. I would recommend using this for a weekend bag or for carrying clothes- basically just light things. I decided not to send it back because of the price. It's fine for a cheap bag but it's not great.
