They really got ratty looking fairly quickly. Same for Avalanche’s tights and fleece-lined zipnecks. All have nasty pilling all over.

I do have shorter legs and the pants are a little long but will be no problem with a pair of boots . Love the quality of the avalanche pants. We have been in the negative degrees in New England right now so these pants are definitely a treat when I am out walking the dogs . With the fleece on the inside and the slight sheen of the material on the outside it keep your legs warm and toasty.

I already had 2 pairs that I wore all the time last 2 or 3 winters. They do pill at inner thighs but I can easily overlook that because of how comfortable and warm they are. Plus, I wear them for hiking and walking the dog in the woods not for going to work or night out. After A LOT of wear a pair ended up having holes on the inner thigh. So I'm getting 2 more pairs this year.

The fit is good as far as they are flattering. The biggest reason for the 3.5 stars is that the fabric has a sheen to it and while a nice warmth, feels a little cheap. But they were also only $20, so that doesn't seem like such a bad deal. Also, the Medium was somewhat generous. I am an '8' and I think I could have gotten a Small.

Too wide in the leg, butt and too long in the crotch - was more of a large than a medium.

I first ordered the coffee, which was the only color available at the time. It's a nice dark brown. The flared leg makes for an attractive look. I'm 5'6" and the length is just right. They're very warm. I use them for around the house or into town rather than hiking or winter sports. I've washed the brown pair about 4 or 5 times now, taking care to wash on cold and line dry, and I've had very little trouble with pilling. I ordered a black pair later when I noticed they'd come in and I'm equally happy with them.
