They are very warm, soft and stretchy. They are a little more snugly fitting than I like to wear out in public, so I'll probably only wear them at home. Maybe ordering up a size would have solved that - I'm not sure. Very cute style; nice and long. The fabric does seem to "pill" some, and I haven't worn them very much yet.

Warm enough for hiking on very cold days but fine for indoor use. Pair with similar avalanche tops or big shirts or sweaters and you are good to go.....ordered several pair...

Question “I own an older pair of Avalanche pants that are fleece lined, yet smooth on the outside (maybe the Mogul?). I absolutely love them because regular fleece pants commonly "pill" up after wearing/washing a few times. Please, will you be restocking these pants anytime soon?? Answer I'm 5'8" and around 140 lb. Ordered the Medium (I usually wear size 8 pants) and they fit exactly right...I haven't washed them yet, but will use cold water and air dry to be safe. Hope that helps!

Answer I have both a large and an XL and holding them up against each other they are the same size. Since you never can tell about the manufacturers, I guess I'd get the XL but a L would or should be fine.

Answer These are very warm pants. They are good for after alpine skiing or winter runs. They may even be too warm for xc skiing, just would depend how your body temperature runs.
