Aventura Clothing by Sportif USA Alexis Board Shorts (For Women)

Shouldn't have listened to recommendation to order size smaller. Really liked shorts but had to return since they were too small.

I loved the color selection, peached nylon fabric, authentic "boardie" piped trim across the back yoke and down the side seams. Also, these have a zipper fly, instead of the usual velcro, for a little more security. On the flip side, they have hand pockets, which I think is a poor feature in board shorts, because as soon as you get wet, they bunch up and stick to your legs. Also, I followed other customer reviews and ordered down 1 size. They fit, but are cut a little too curvy through the backside, which causes some awkwardness around the torso, thighs. All in all, the longest, most conservative pair I have found, and a good value.

I love them! I was a bit worried due to the "too big" statements, but they fit great and look good. Very soft material. My husband thought they looked great. I may just order another pair!

living in the tropics demand cool, comfortable clothing. these shorts are perfect, plus they have an SPF.

Nice shorts,the material is not very heavy in the pink, seems a little heavier in the print pair I also bought. It is hard to find a pair of longer water shorts for an older woman, seems most of them are made only for juniors from skateboard or surfing companies.

The fit on these shorts was strange on me - they have typical board short styling (and a cute seam in the rear just under the waistband), but perhaps it was the pockets - they just didn't look right on my hips. The pockets tended to flare out a little, like chino pockets do, which is not a good look for me. Material was a little thin, but not unusually so for board shorts. Because of the weird fit, I wouldn't recommend these to my friends.

Loved the shorts, but I'm finding the NEW sizing hard to figure. I haven't been a "4" since I was in 7th grade! But the 6's are big on me (I ususally wear an 8!). Amy

Great if in and out of water as they will dry very fast.
