Aventura Clothing Chelsi Dress - Sleeveless (For Women)

When I saw this dress appear in the catalog, I knew I had jump on it right away. I ordered a couple of similar dresses from this brand last year and lived in them. This one may be slightly less of a workhorse than those dresses, but it is also more sophisticated-- the fabric pattern is more chic than last year's overall tonal floral, the rayon blend fabric is more fluid (although potentially more clingy), and the neckline is deeper. As a 6-8 typically for dress size, I might have been able to take a small according to the stated size ranges, but I ordered a medium because that's all that was available. I think that was for the best, because the rayon fabric will follow every little bump if it's too closely fitted. I think the medium is best for me. If it becomes available in other colors at such a great sale price, I'll be back!

Looks good with leggings and a little black cardi, a brighter colour would have been nice.

This fabric is unbelievably soft, felt like I had tried on a nightgown instead of a dress. For that reason alone I wanted to keep this dress, but somehow the fit was not what I could live with. Maybe it was the sizing? I usually am a medium but ordered large that was available. Sometimes that works, but not this time.

I love Aventura's loose dresses! They are not body hugging but still very flattering. They are as comfortable as a nightgown (but much prettier). I am 5'8", 140 lb, and the Large fits beautifully (a little loose but the Medium would be too small). I get compliments every time I wear one of these. If ONLY they came in prettier colors. I have 2 similar dresses in gray/black, and 2 in lightish green, but I would order one in every color combination they offered due to how easy these are to wear, machine wash, & hang dry (label might say OK to tumble dry low but I never feel confident doing that). Length is right at the knee (not below) - perfect!

It's a great little dress to wear with leggings, but it's way too long. Hits about mid-calf, so I'm having to shorten it about 5", which cuts off some of the decoration. But with leggings, it would be really frumpy looking if it wasn't shorter. It's also cut very low and will require a camisole. Very cute, though!
