I wanted to try this sweater as soon as I saw it, because it was less expensive than the Icebreaker and Smartwool sweaters and I wanted a wool midlayer. The fit is just right. Not tight at all, but not baggy. I have the medium (135# and 36B), you might want to size up if you have serious curves. Foi... Read More

Reviewed by Dog Mom from New York on Monday, December 30, 2013This is a thin sweater. Decently made, just thinner than expected. Over all fits great 5'3" Ordered a medium, not short or long; wears just below my waist (pants waist). semi fitted and stretchy. If one wanted a baggier fit i would suggest ordering a size bigger, but the sleeves may be too long then. The merino wool is nice, soft, delicate to wash (cold > hang dry) The white zipper outline and hood draw cords are a nice touch, really cute. Over all its worth the price and is moderately warm zip up sweater. I would just emphasize that its "light weight" merino wool. Thats why i am giving it 4 stars instead of 5, comparing it to some other brand merino wool garments i own.
Reviewed by jtb149 from Central PA on Tuesday, December 24, 2013I wanted to try a zip up merino hoodie as I have a pullover one from Woolrich that I love. This one was sized super small and was super thin as well. The wool was so thin it felt like the weigh of the zipper would stretch out the sweater if it was left open! The strings were also really long and awkward. I sent it back.
Reviewed by LB71581 from cambridge, MA on Thursday, December 5, 2013I needed a new black hooded sweater and I loved the contrast edges on this one and it was a great deal so I bought it. The wool is soft, the sweater is cute on but it had 3 holes in it within two wears! I should mention I was NOT wearing it to do any kind of activity that would put strain on it and I bought the appropriate size. Two of the holes were on seams so I was able to fix them but one was in the middle of the body so the repair is a little more obvious. I will still wear it but I am considering going over the entire thing with an extra layer of stitching to avoid more holes. This should not happen on a sweater that costs this much! I will not be buying this brand again.
