The weight is just right to wear under a jacket outdoors, and around the house over a sweater on cool days. The medium fit was right for me and is my usual size.

I purchased the Potent Purple and it looks a little pinker in person (not really my favorite but still pretty). It is warm. I wore it walking in 50 degree weather and was comfortable with just a long sleeve t-shirt underneath.
As far as sizing, I bought a Medium. I am 5'9", 150 lbs, usually wear size 10 jeans, 34 DD bra size. The vest was a little roomier than I had hoped. Lots of room for layering. Like two sweatshirts worth of space. If it was available in a small, I would exchange it. I'm going to keep it, possibly give it to my mother as it is a nice vest. -
