These are great meals and really a value for the prepper. I ordered these on sale in jan 2012 and bought 6 units. I have ordered these in the past and did a taste test with my wife comparing them to mountain house and wise meals and they were by far the best. Everyone should have a some of the meals... Read More

These cooked up easily and tasted fine, Be aware that they are dehydrated and not freeze dried. Several of the meals require 2 pans to prepare. great for winter packing but would have leave a couple of them home for long distance hiking. They're good tasting and quick if you use a cozy.

We use this food for long trips and when we're in a hurry. Some meals taste better than others, but none taste bad. Value wise, this is a good buy.

I was a little disappointed about the overall calorie count...doubt this is enough for 2 person, 3 days...unless they are not active and just trying to survive.

For a couple of the meals, calorie to weight isn't as great as I wish (granola & milk), but overall the flavor is worth it. I should mention that these, as with other multi-day food packs only accounts for 2 meals per day (i.e. breakfast while in camp and dinner after setting up camp). This leaves you without a meal in the middle of your trek, which I have always found to be downright stupid. But opinions are everywhere. IMHO this is worth it (especially with the steep discounts Sierra gives) if only for the dinners and desserts. Breakfast, for me is a bar. Lunch is Ramen Noodles. Snack is jerky or Good Old Raisins and Peanuts (GORP).
