I have been eating this product for years on backpacking trips. It is good quality but still backpacking food. The blueberry with oats meal is great and all of the sides are good as well. A couple of the dinners are second tier compared to Mountain house brand food but you can't EVER find MH on sale. It Is all good quality though for backpacking food. I have taken my 8 and 6 year old with me each of the last two years (31 and 46 miles) and it took me the first year to get them used to it though by last year they were eating it well enough. Backpacking food is a must when you are carrying? a pack for two others or hiking for multiple days. I have tried all of the brands and backpacker's pantry is certainly the best bang for the buck and it is a good product. I do a lot of high elevation hikes and you just need to let the food cook longer but it still cooks though. My kids didn't like the Jamaican jerked chicken with rice but everything else was ok. Cheesecake, moose and cobbler are all great as well. If I was rating off of value it would be an easy five star rating.
