Excellent tent although the 12 by 10 measurement is deceptive- the tent's shape makes it's surface area less than 120 square feet. Fly is a bit hard to get installed. Overall, tent is superior quality and design. VERY waterproof. Much better quality than other tents in this price range.

Construction is thoughtful Materials are rugged-- all materials are heavier than most. Dimensions are ample (though cramped for six) Assembly is easy (though the enclosed instructions don't address the rainfly, a little intuition is all that is needed). Stored size is bulky but can be easily transported in the provided duffle bag. Plentiful tie-down stakes are provided.

This is the third tent we exchanged. The first had tears in the mesh and the walls. The second had a large tear in the floor. The third was missing one of the metal rings that is used to unlock the legs in order to fold it back up. I ended up disassembling the joint and used a metal ring from a keychain in place of the missing release ring. We decided not to exchange this one as the rest of the tent was in good condition and we were afraid of getting one with more defects. I do not fault Sierra Trading Post, as the defects described above are manufacturer defects. We are leaving on our camping trip soon and hope that everything works properly. [...]
