This tent is a joke...the fly doesnt work, the seams ripped, and it couldnt hold up in the rain at all....it caved in and soaked us at 3am! We used this ten 3 times this summer and as long as it wasnt raining it was fine.

By Heatstroke JenniVerified Reviewer from Indianapolis, IN on 08/10/2009
    Pros:
    Easy To Set Up
    Cons:
Collects Condensation, Leaks at seams, No airflow, No screens, Poor Fly Design
    Describe Yourself:
    Casual Adventurer
    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
There is NO rear door. The "breathable mesh vent" is sewn over and there are NO screens, none. Therefore no airflow and it is HOT. We got sick. Where the middle poles connect to the tent bottom, water came in during a rainshower at the seams. The zipper broke on the bag and the front fly is very hard to zip. Poorly made tent and misadvertised.

Not enough ventilation. Where there should be screens there are plastic windows. Great in rainy conditions

My poles came with a broken elastic connector and my bag ripped when first opening the tent. Ventelation is bad. Unless you're looking for limited use, fork over more $ for a better tent that will last you and perform better.

I wish the hydration pack held a 2 liter camelback rather than the 1 liter, however, the size of the bag is meant for more daytrips anyway. It is a very, very, comfortable and easy-to-adjust bag, and held all of the things I needed for a full day's climb.

Well, updated review...the pack is better than I thought. Tough, comfortable adjustable blah blah blah. Again, can buy 5 of these for the price of that "premium label" on the competition...you do the math.

This has been a great backpack for moderate to strenuous dayhikes. The hip and chest straps provided great stability during climbing and coming down steep inclines. The backpack is a great size for me and the hydration hose fit fine over my shoulder. The backpack was comfortable enough for me to carry all the water and other necessities needed for a 3-6 hour hike and I felt little or no pressure in my shoulders. Please note though that hydration hose did Not reach over my husbands shoulder, so if this is function you are looking to use you need to concider your size. The hose may not have a long enough reach for a medium to large size man but should be fine for a woman. Looking forward to using it for winter activities.

I haven't used the hydration system. The questions above made it sound like it was supposed to have it. It didn't but I just wanted the capability for a hydration system I already have. I use the pack for school. It works quite well and feels distributes the weight well so my neck doesn't get messed up. I love this pack and cant wait till summer so I can take it hiking.
