This is my first hat purchase, not my first hat, and I specifically chose Sierra Trading Post because of it's prices. It was my first time dealing with Sierra Trading Post and I wasn't sure what to expect. I ordered the hat, (it was like $20, but >$65 on other websites.) and thought maybe it would be deformed or messed up and that was why it was so cheap. NO! I received it only 3 days later and the hat was perfect, better than I expected! Sierra Outpost was fast at shipping, the hat is great quality, and the price unbeatable. Sizing was also right on the money! :)
If you want a nice, sturdy, affordable, sexy hat that does a great job keeping the sun out of your eyes and cooling you down, buy this hat from this website.
I will DEFINITELY be doing more business here in the future!

Considering the price I paid, it was a letdown. Had I paid anything close to full retail I would be returning it. The first disappointment was when I opened they box. This being a pretty fancy hat I expected it to come in a hat box. It wasn't even in a plastic bag. Either it was damaged in shipping or it has a manufacturing defect, My wife noticed that the angle of the center of the hat does not match the angles of the sides. From a practical matter the biggest problem is it is too big. Every other hat maker's 7 1/4 fits me snug. When I try to snug this one on the top of my head runs in to the top of the hat and it is still loose. I will have to put some fabric between the sweat band and the hat to snug it up.
If I had seen this in the store first and been able to try it on, I would not have bought it. In spite of it's problems, it is a very nice looking hat (if you don't notice the subtle angle problem.) I will keep it and see how it holds up. If it was the right size and not crooked, it would be an amazing value.
