    Pros:
    Comfortable Grip, Sharp Blade
    Cons:
    Bends, Hard to open
    Best Uses:
    Home
    Describe Yourself:

    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The knife is large and awkward to open with one hand even though it has the thumb stud. The corkscrew is especially difficult to open and seems flimsy in comparison to the blade.

Knife portion well made, but the base of the corkscrew is too narrow, allowing it a lot of side to side movement. The corkscrew is also painfully hard to open, even after application of oil and repeated opening. Decorative spine on the same side is partially pushed in and at an angle.

I have been using it mostly for opening coconuts and chopping avocados. Haven't tried the cork yet for opening wine. It's got a great feel.

This French "made in China" knife is strong, well made, with good feel, but heavy and not sharp. A dull blade is ok for cutting off wine caps. The 420 stainless steel is good. The cork screw is very hard to open, this may loosen up with use over time. Most women and many men will not have fingers strong enough to open the cork screw. The point on the cork screw is not needle point sharp, which is a problem with old corks on well aged bottles. I have opened many 100s of wine bottles with 3 Victorinox Swiss Army Cork Screw knives, and will see how this good looking big heavy tight French/China knife compares.
