    I orders 6 scarves for my friends as we row in hot, humid weather. I thought this would be great for racing esp in humid weather. Tried them today after following instructions. They didn't stay cold for any length of time and the one scarf spilled its contents after tying it on. All that grainy stuff came out.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    This item split open the very first time I put it in water! Don't waste your time or your money on this. Cheaper ones can be found at retail discount stores and they don't split open and leave slimy gel beads all over. A total waste of money!!!

    Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
    A simple product - water-absorbent crystals in a slim bandana - wet it and the crystals swell up. Put it around your neck and evaporation cools you nicely. If you are brave, refrigerate the critter before wearing (after hydrating it, of course.) Be sure your shirt is dye-fast or you wind up with a tie-dye look.
