Closeouts. This most elegant waiter's knife from Baladeo is an authentic, traditional piece of French cutlery. Genuine polished horn handle scales as an accompaniment to a fine libation.

When I ordered two of these items, I asked not to ship horn handles that had defects. Both did. I can only assume that all stock has defective handles. Both are being returned. Too bad because the rest of the knife is good quality.

Comfortable Grip, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade
Cons:
Damaged horn insert, Poor Craftsmanship
Best Uses:
Classy wine service
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
[*] Good function but damaged horn inserts by sloppy rivets make this a user rather than presentation product. Still, good function for a fair price - French-made horn opener would be $150-200 - but not an especially good value.

Comparative value is based on what a hand made knife from the Laguiole region of France costs. This knife is made in China and is worth about a third as much.
