Leather is wonderfull, but shaft had no support. If the shaft were lined it would have been a great boot. The piture is deceptive as it appears. The boot shaft coldn't stand up like in the picw/o a boot tree. It just falls oh the boot. Baly's goof!

Ordered both colors (brown and tan) and like these boots very much so far. First non-Italian or English for high-end shoes I've tried, so was a little skeptical about fit/finish but everything is top notch. Great soft, supple feel to the lambskin, a leather you normally see in nice gloves. Definitely a more stylish boot with a somewhat narrow toebox, and minimal upper support as noted by other reviewers. These are not by any means cowboy boots or something you would work out in the yard with anywhere near dirt, but are great for anything from casual wear/walking the dogs to work wear under slacks. The stacked heal and stealthy rubber lugs (I say stealthy because they are pretty low profile) do provide excellent traction. They are more like boots than dress shoes in that respect. You may have to go snug on these to prevent heal slippage, and a little break-in may be necessary. My outside toes were just hitting the outside front of the toebox but I think it will relax with more break in, and I am not getting any heal slippage. After just one 35 min dog walk they were noticeably more comfortable/getting broken in. Size I ordered and received was the American/US size printed on the box/inside of the boot (Euro size-one size smaller-was also noted). One caveat, the interior lining is the suede-like reverse side of the outer lamskin so you will get color shedding onto your socks when you take them off which could make for some social awkwardness. Kind of made my black pair of socks look all speckled. Hopefully this will go away with more wear

I bought a full size smaller then normal based on previous buyers and the boots fit well and are extremely comfortable. The leather is very soft and the boot is light weight making for a boot that is very easy to wear all day long.

The boot shaft is very pliable and as one reviewer noted will not stand upright on its own. The kid leather is thin and very soft and a more durable leather should have been used as the lining to give the shaft more structure. It feels as if the shaft could begin to slide down ones shin sort of like a pair of socks without good elastic at the top will do. On the postive side, the boots are so pliable that they could be rolled up for packing to travel. That might appeal to some but not to me.

There was no indiciation on STP that these were European sizing. Opened the box and noted they looked large. Checked the sole and on it was stamped 7.5 EUR/8.5 US. The boots were a full size larger than advertised. Sent them back the next day.
