“Excellent quality, caveats about the fit”

“This has to be the best-sewn jacket I've owned in a long time. Impeccable tailoring details and gorgeous choice of fabrics and lining. It's got the heft I need for a fall-into-early-winter jacket to wear to work (dress casual) and around town. The caveat: Barbour appears to be cut for a certain body type; I'd call it the 45yr+ short-waisted, big-busted, slim-hipped matron. Although this doesn't describe me, I'm keeping this particular model since it's got a slightly slouchy, boxier cut and the sleeve length is gratifyingly long. The sizing appears to be very accurate, in fact I don't find this to be cut too small for the size (44/12) at all and if it weren't for the length - hits just at lower hip and I don't want shorter -- I might even go a size smaller to a 10. I'd steer clear if you are particularly long-waisted or curvy-hipped. But if the cut fits you, Barbour can't be beat for quality at this price.”
