Barbour Hope Revere Jacket - Washed Babycord, Lined (For Women)

On me the jacket was shapeless, but I'm not a very curvy person. The quality was there but the color was more murkey than the grey I expected. On the right person it could be very cute.

I really like this coat....except for the fact that I ordered it a bit too small. I'm 5'2", and 116 athletic lbs (with large shoulders). I usually wear a loose fitting womens medium, so I got the size 10. It is a shapely fit, but is a bit snug in the shoulders for me. I also have a size 12 Barbor jacket, and it's tight in the shoulders too...while being large everywhere else. All that said, it's a great jacket. I love how soft and comfy it is. It can be dressed up (somewhat) or worn casually, and the liner should make it a great fall/early winter jacket. It's also very well constructed.

I really wanted to keep this jacket because it looks nice on the hanger and feels nice on. The lining is impeccable. The sleeves are lined in a luscious almost silk material and the interior of the coat is quilted and very soft. Unfortunately, the exterior is nothing special. But the real problem is the fit. Shoulders much too big, no fit through the body, too long, hip area too small. It just looked like an ill-fitting sack on me and I actually don't know and have never known anyone it would look good on. Oh and the color (olive) was pretty bad too. So I cannot recommend it.

This jacket is lovely. I used the sizing recommended in other comments and it fits perfectly. I am an 8/10 and purchased a 14. The jacket is just the right size for wearing a sweater underneath it.

It's very comfortable, and just a great in-between jacket...not too warm but has a quilted lining for chilly morning walks with my dog.

This has to be the best-sewn jacket I've owned in a long time. Impeccable tailoring details and gorgeous choice of fabrics and lining. It's got the heft I need for a fall-into-early-winter jacket to wear to work (dress casual) and around town. The caveat: Barbour appears to be cut for a certain body type; I'd call it the 45yr+ short-waisted, big-busted, slim-hipped matron. Although this doesn't describe me, I'm keeping this particular model since it's got a slightly slouchy, boxier cut and the sleeve length is gratifyingly long. The sizing appears to be very accurate, in fact I don't find this to be cut too small for the size (44/12) at all and if it weren't for the length - hits just at lower hip and I don't want shorter -- I might even go a size smaller to a 10. I'd steer clear if you are particularly long-waisted or curvy-hipped. But if the cut fits you, Barbour can't be beat for quality at this price.

the jacket is 100% cotton, appears to be warm.Lining is also cotton with thin insulated layer.Color is an a dull side-olive. Lenght good, passes well below waistline. Breast pockets are good addition. Overall consider this as a good purchase. Will be well used for casual wear and hiking.

Just what I was looking for, but a little heavier than I expected. It will work as a jacket thru the fall. I wonder if it is much different from the Eddie Bauer jacket featured this fall which looks very similar. It's priced about the same as the sale price for the Barbour. Handsome styling. Looks good over a casual shirt and chinos.

This jacket is casually elegant with a timeless style, ageless and effortless. One more button at the top would have been nice.

I liked it so much I got one in a slightly larger size to wear over sweaters (my husband likes the looser look better) and one that's a trimmer fit to wear over a shirt only. It's really soft, a versatile, hard to pin down color. Lining but not insulated, about like a really heavy shirt. Sleeves, like all Barbour I've had, are really long.
