Barbour Louisa Quilted Fleece Jacket (For Women)

If there is a way to dress up fleece a bit, this jacket does it. I was delighted with the elegant look this fleece jacket has managed to achieve with quilted accents and fitted tailoring. A good solid weight for cooler days.

It is my favorite weekend jacket. Very happy with the purchase. Great price.

I ordered two of these jackets, one in navy and one in olive, both in size UK 8 (US 4). Being 33.5" in chest, 24.5" in waist and 36" in hips, I wear both 8 and 10 in UK sizes. While the olive jacket fits me very well, even with a thick wool sweater underneath, I wasn't even able to zip the navy jacket. That's very odd. I compared the one to the other and the navy jacket, despite being the same size as the olive one, is in excess of 3" smaller! This kind of an error in sizing is unacceptable on Barbour's part. Barbour, "By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen", should not have this kind of problems. While the jacket itself is nice, the fleece is really thick and the quilt inserts complement it, I am disappointed because I like navy colour much more than I do olive.

This fleece is a step up from the usual fleece jacket when it comes to style. Has a snug fit, cut higher over the hips (longer in front & back, which is nice), and has a touch of dressiness. If you don't want the snug fit, order a size up - it may be hard to wear a bulky sweater if you order the size you typically wear.

I have four or five Barbour jackets in size 8 UK or 4 US. They all fit well. This jacket is too small and should be sized 2 US. I had to send it back. If someone is a true size 2 then it would be a fine jacket.

I indicated that it feels true to size, but only because it fits me so well. Normally, I wear a 0 or 2, and the 4(US)--that's an 8 when you order--fits exactly right, while I expected it to be a little on the large side, so be careful when ordering, and order a size larger than you usually wear. This is a great jacket that is lightweight yet warm enough to wear even when the weather is in the high 20s or low 30s. I wear it with a muted plaid scarf and a turtleneck, jeans tucked into stylish boots, for a casual, yet classic look, but it's great as a jacket to throw on for running errands.

This jacket is a slim cut that gives shape to the body, but its not too tight. I generally wear a size 4 and the 8 fit like a glove. It is warmer than some fleece. It is shaped to come lower in front and back, in a sort of curve, which is becoming. It is well made. I wish I could get it in both colors.

This is a light to medium weight fleece which is extremely warm for a jacket that is not bulky at all. It is very well made and attractive but just a little bit short in length and the sleeves are just a little on the short side. It is also a little wide in the waste for my taste. Nevertheless I liked it so much that I ordered an additional one in another color. If it weren't for the length issue I would have given it a 5 star rating. I would still recommend it as a great jacket.

Just relocated to Colorado and I was looking for an excuse to add more Barbour items to my collection. I bought this fleece jacket in olive, size UK10/US6. Of course, it's gorgeous to look at and it is well made. My only complaint is that it's a tad short in the sleeves; however, my arms are longer than most for my height (5' 7 1/2"). It was a tad tight across the bustline...but that's just a clue for me to drop a few lbs! I am keeping the jacket because it will be great to layer under my other Barbour gear this winter. Thank you, STP!!! Unbelievable...good-looking fleece!

I will use this in the fall when I need a light jacket. It fits nice and seems to be very versatile. The quilting on the inside of the arms adds a little touch of style.
