Barbour Waxed Blazer - Insulated (For Men)

Very unique coat, very British. Feel like I should be on a horse.

I have a lot of Barbour coats, shirts, pants, scarves.... They are very British and classic. My original exposure to them was in the "horse country" of Virginia. They were considered stylish in that small community - but they were not generally available in the U.S. Now, I see them being worn by college students (at least in the NE). Of my Barbour coats, I think I like this one the best because it seems more comfortable (you don't have to take it off when you go inside). It is a sportcoat with all of the benefits of a Barbour jacket. It is warm (lined), rainproof, and easy to wear with jeans or chinos. Also, I like the fact that it less common. This coat is a little slimer than other Barbour coats, but I am 6'3", 210 lbs and an xl fit me fine.

Simply too tight, got to return it.

Pros Its slim fit, a relative term, but slim fit for sure by Barbour standards! It even calls itself slim fit on the label. There is some darting and even mild waist suppression! Its made in England. No waxy smell, but its waxed cotton for sure. Insulated for mild cool weather, should work with shirt till the weather hits 50 or so. Excellent wind protections, esp as it closes to neck, collar/lapels lined with moleskin. My XL fit very similar to RLPL 46L. Button down front flap pockets. One button and one zip interior pocket. Cons Center vent, but then its a frikkin waxed blazer! The vent has a button and is lined, so you can sit on a wet surface but butt will stay dry. Sleeve is a touch long. Comes with a small metal Barbour decal to put on Jacket. I think this is a gem of a blazer. 2 thumbs up from me
