The comments I read said they ran narrow that is true so get at least a half size larger or a wide especially with heavy socks. They are very nice boots for the price.

I was so excited about these boots, that I bought a pair for myself and one for my mom. When I got them, they had glue threads stuck to the suede. There were strange red threads coming out from the soles and the "wool" on the inside was pulling out and got all over my socks. I was looking for a classy and warm alternative to heavy pack boots to wear to the office. What I got were two pairs of cheaply made boots that I now have to pay to send back. Disappointing.

I need a comfortable fitting & semi-rugged boot for walking my Siberian Husky long distances & in all kinds of weather from spring to fall. I like the overall look of this boot & will probably use it for casual wear only. Sizes should be made one half larger than offered.The double zipper is un-necessary & can be quite uncomfortable.......

I use them on cool days. Good looking boots. A little hard to fit when no 1/2 sizes available.

I would have worn them for urban, winter travel. I really wanted to keep them but they were simply too big. Had I been able to get a 7.5 (instead of 8) I would have exchanged them. Even bulky socks didn't help (in boots I usually wear a 7.5-8).

My first purchase was the Tan color, the comfort is unbelievable and the boots in the tan color are quite easy to keep clean looking. As soon as the black were available in my size I ordered those too, only need these in brown and I am set.

I bought another pair of Bastien boots and they wore very well. I like this company and I am glad they produce wide boots for my flat feet.

I took the remarks of previous reviewers seriously regarding sizing. I ordered a full size larger than normal in a wide width (I'm usually a medium width). They fit well (could even be a smidgen wider)so the size is definately off. The boot is comfortable, except for the foot bed cushion and arch support. I'm getting an insert for them.

These are very cute and I loved the cranberry color however they are stiff feeling, hard to get on, and run small. They're going back.

I am very happy with these boots. They have a great balance between elegance, comfort and function. The heel cushioning is really great if you are walking a lot. The toe felt snug at first, but broke in quickly.
