Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This is not a climbing rope. You can haul on it and rap on it. I use it for canyoneering where you never acutally climb. It is light, packs small, doesn't absorb much water even when submerged and knots solidly. Because of the small diameter knots are harder to untie than in larger ropes so try not to put enormous loads on it. Durability is yet to be proven, but so far so good.
