Although I usually wear a regular width, I ordered them in wide and was glad I did since they seem narrow. They fit true to size, at least in a wide. I usually wear 7 1/2 or 8 and the 38 fits perfectly. As for the color, I was hesitant at first to get grey spark whatever that is but it's such a dark grey it looks like black which will be easier to match with clothes. Overall a great purchase. The only negative, which has nothing to do with the shoes, is the way Sierra Trading changes the price on a daily basis.
