    The top of this dress fit perfectly, but the gathering at the waist was odd and made my hips look much bigger than they already were. The gathers should have started a few inches lower than they did, and that would have made all the difference. I returned the item.

    Pura Vida clothing can have an erratic fit, usually runs small.If you are between sizes, order up. I love the Pura Vida dresses that have a 1950s-type cut, fabric and fit.True to the vintage style, this dress has a close-fitting bodice and full gathered skirt, with plenty of fabric just below the gathered waist that will camouflage full hips. But even if your hips are slim, it's still a cute look and is ultra comfortable. The fabric doesn't seem cheap to me, as some people have described it. It's a light 100% cotton fabric (percale?)and is somewhat stiff until you launder it but this is characteristic of this type of fabric. The skirt part has a light cotton slip built in, and the gathering seam in the front of the shoulder straps is very flattering. It looks perfect with the white cotton Pura Vida shrug (which is unfortunately out of stock right now).

    I like this dress and I got a lot of compliments on it, it is pretty comfortable overall. The only problem I had is with the waist climbing up on me because of the elastic in the waist. After I was working in it for a while I had to keep pulling it down, as it wanted to bunch up under the bustline. Anyway I still wear it and I don't mind too much, it's a very nice dress for a hot summer day.

    I loved this dress by picture.I loved the styling, but when I received it the fabric was too wrinkled and the cotton was stiff. I tried to put it on but it was way too tight with no give, especially around the waist. I'll have to try another fabric.

    This dress is the perfect summer go-anywhere dress. It has a comfortable and flattering, easy fit, nice slow-to-wrinkle 100% cotton retro fabric. I have neither packed it nor washed/dried it yet, but see it will need a light ironing if you care about some minor wrinkling-I don't! I am almost 6 feet all and this is the perfect length for me, just below the knee. I only wish it had pockets......
