Verified Buyer Reviewed by mm from nyc on Tuesday, December 27, 2016After reading the other reviews I bought a larger size and washed to shrink...I prefer loose and comfy. These shrank beautifully in a cold wash and medium dryer for 24 minutes, are well made, soft and very comfy. They are a new go to pj.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gloria from Southern California on Saturday, November 26, 2016I resisted these as long as I could...what can I say? I'm weak.
I have two sets of flannel pjs from Bedhead that I purchased here on STP several years ago and I have been very happy with the comfort, fit and durability--they were a bit pricey, even at the sale price, but they have been worn often and still look new. A great purchase. I also recently bought several sets of the cotton knit pjs in this brand and they are also excellent (can't tell about the durability yet, but so far, so good). Over the years I have read lots of positive reviews on these sateen pjs, but they just seemed like more of a luxury rather than a practical purchase, and I just couldn't justify the price...until I recently received a deal-flyer offer that suddenly made the cost of these lovely pjs much more reasonable, that is! I can't really say that I actually need any more pajamas, but several of the patterns just caught my eye and I finally gave in and bought two pair (the exotic flowers on a black background as well as the milky-way galaxy, also on a black background--both are gorgeous) and they are everything I had expected. The fabric is substantial with a smooth, flowing feel; the stitching and construction is top quality and they just look and feel special. The fit seems true to size; not as forgiving as the cotton knit (of course, since those are stretch fabric) and the top seems a bit more fitted than the bottoms, but not enough so that I would consider sizing up. I am very happy STP offered these at such an affordable price (I have seen these sateen pjs at $150.00 elsewhere--a price I would not feel comfortable paying, even if I could afford it, which I can't) and I am even happier that I decided to treat myself after all. If these pjs perform as well as other pjs in this line, they will definitely qualify as a practical purchase, not a splurge, so I plan to purchase some as gifts if and when other sizes and patterns become available.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gloria from Southern California on Saturday, November 26, 2016I splurged on a couple of pair of Bedheads flannel pjs from STP a few years ago, and they have held up wonderfully, so when I saw this cotton knit version on sale, I wanted to try them as well--ordinarily these are not what I would consider budget friendly even at the discounted price here at STP, but the added savings with a recent deal flyer coupon made the cost much more reasonable.,,
Well, these are great! I purchased a set and when they it, I was so pleased that I immediately came back and purchased two more sets for myself as well as one for my grand-daughter. I feel that the fit is true to size--a little large at first to account for some shrinkage during laundering--they were just a trifle too long in the sleeves and a bit too much room at the shoulder, but just perfect after washing (cold water, line-dried). The length of the pj bottoms are still a bit too long for me (I am 5'4") so I will adjust the hem, but they could easily be rolled up without much added bulk if someone doesn't want to be bothered. I think these should be fine for taller women--maybe up to 5'9" or so? I do think that pjs at this price point should be offered in different inseams, after all, these are regularly priced at well over $100.00--and I have seen many pjs that cost less than half of this amount that do offer different lengths...
The fabric is definitely top quality--it feels substantial but is not heavy, and there is a considerable amount of stretch without that flimsy 'drawn' feel that some stretchy material has. The style and construction is excellent--solid, even stitching, buttons are well placed and secure, well sewn button holes, piping perfectly finished. These will be perfect for spring and fall, but aren't warm enough to be a winter pj, at least in my cold, drafty house...
All of the patterns are great--I purchased the black dogs on a white background (cute!) as well as the bright colorful flowers on black background (elegant) and the Paris cafe in blue (my favorite) and I am so pleased with my purchase. These would make wonderful gifts...
