A fashionable woolen anklet and not a synthetic is which is why I purchased this particular sock. Unfortanately it is is not a true medium weight. I am not wanting to buy a Hicking Sock which are too thick This one just a bit too loosly woven and not dense enough to provide any noticable level of foot comfort or warmth. Matter of fact I though they were a little cold. They are so attractive I was rather dissappointed. They are good enough for casual wear in shoes that accept a thinner sock so they are acceptable. I will make good use of them even though I think they are too skimpy on the wool. I wear them in my lace up shoe boots mostly out and about. I will still look for a little heavier to suit myself. This may be fine someone else. Wool anklets are hard to find these days.

Since I've had the socks only a short time, I don't know how well they'll wear. They feel good on my feet and are very pretty

Those are beautiful socks. I wear them every day in-office with black sandals. This gives my feet comfort of not being in the shoes. At the same time this looks pretty and matches almost everything. The socks got rather streched, though.
