No doubt, it can prevent serious wrist injuries, but most of the impact happens on the palm, and there's not much support in that area.
Gloves are pretty thin, and not as insulated as normal gloves.

He loves how thin they are but still very warm, the grippy palm is nice though attracts grime and gets discolored quickly. He loves the versatility of fit thanks to the many adjustable straps. The knuckle padding is a good bonus as well.
