Reviewed by nikki237 from Eugene, OR on Wednesday, December 29, 2010This hat fits well on my relatively large head (for reference, I typically wear a Large in Icebreaker hats): snug enough to be warm and secure without being hair-smashing. It's quite warm (I wore it comfortably in 15-degree weather), and is angled such that it covers my ears without having to be pulled down low over my face. Best of all, it really does recall Julie Christie in Dr. Zhivago! I've gotten a lot of compliments on this hat and like it enough that I may buy a second.

I bought it as a gift for a relative that is undergoing chemo. I wanted her to look stylish and be warm as she took her dogs out for a walk across the yorkshire moors this winter. And the faux fur seemed almost like a hair replacement :^). I put it on to check it out and was blown away at how beautiful it was. It was warm, but not scratchy. This is the kind of hat you want to wear as you walk around New York in the winter, looking stylish but completely warm. Nice!
