I have a 50's style boiled wool swing coat. This hat takes the overall look to the next level! I received so many compliments! It's stylish but not at the expense of being functional. Cute!

  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. too tight, not washable and has a metal tag in the middle of it

I kept this since it would cost almost as much to return the hat but it turns out to be boiled wool so is not washable, and it has a metal betmar brand tag very visible in the middle of it. The tag is heavy-duty stapled and I can't figure out how to get it off without destroying the hat,
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Darling hat!

Small in circumference, could put it on with a snug fit. Deep enough that it covered ears and felt totally secure. With short-short hair my head is a smallerside of medium and just fit it, would not have fit when my hair was longer. Good teen/sub-teen, girl size. Great style and material. Bought the red and love the color and look.

About Betmar

It may seem hard to believe that Betmar hats, one of the oldest millinery companies in America, was actually founded during the Great Depression - but at that time, the hat business flourished despite economic hard times. The name "Betmar" is actually a consolidation of Betty Marks (Betmar's very first hat designer) and Elizabeth and Murray Marks (Betmar's top hat salespeople). Three family generations later,Betmar still crafts some of the most magnificent women's hats on the fashion scene, from fedoras and berets to chic caps and beach hats. Made from luxury materials like organza, felted merino wool, fine cotton and straw, BetmarHats' creations have practical uses like warmth and shade. But the real appeal of Betmar women's hats are their elegant artistry. Whether it's a sun hat, fedora or newsboy cap, you will most definitely notice a woman wearing a Betmar hat.
