    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    Three stars may be generous. Lids don't fit well, not "heavy-gauge aluminum" as described, and this exact set is sold at [local discount store] for 1/3 the "retail price" listed here. So they're basically discount store quality. I may keep them for a condo we rent out, since I got a good deal and they come with utensils, but they don't appear to be very durable.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I was extremely excited about the price of this set, particularly because I've used Bialetti in the past and have been impressed. Not the case this time. The red coating on the bottom exterior of the pan has begun flaking off with each use. The small flakes also melt on the burner, making a mess. Note: The pans have only been hand-washed and have NEVER been placed in the dishwasher. I am rarely dissatisfied with any products coming from STP, but this is one sad exception.
