They tried it once and wouldn;t stop asking for one them selves. Not too heavy for backpacking - given the comfort. Compresses to a tidy small size in the included stuff sack.

Reviewed by akrunner from Alaska on Tuesday, June 11, 2013I ordered this because I wanted a self inflating pad similar to my thermarest. Self inflating in this case must mean you blow it up yourself. I let it sit for a day and it filled with a little air. Then it was hard to deflate and very difficult to get back into its stuff sack. Material durable, size good, weight good, even for backpacking but not what I want. Sending it back.
