    There are no protectors on the bottom of the coasters so they will scratch furniture. I will have to figure out a way to attach felt or something to protect.

    They are just beautiful! Could easily cost three times as much. You may want to add some felt to bottoms like another reviewer suggested. Biggest con read bottom of holder "Not for Food Use - Food consumed from this May be Harmful - For Decorative Purposes Only" I would recommend them to anyone without small children. You never know what a little one might put in their mouth or lick!

    Nice item - very pretty and substantial for use at our cabin. One drawback, the bottom of the coaster that touches the tabletop is unglazed clay. While not extremely rough, I do wonder if it might scratch some wood finishes. I put felt underneath and its fine now.
