    I tried 43L and 42L. Chest size on the 42L was about right but padded shoulders stuck out too far -- no difference really from the 43L. A 41L might fit in the shoulders but judging from the others I tried the chest would be too small. Too bad because this is a high quality sport coat.

    I'm 6'9" tall and I think it was just wishful thinking that a "long" would fit. Most sizing guides tell you that a long is good up to 6'4", I was hopeful. I think the sizing would be right for a guy that tall. I had to take a chance though, it was a beautiful sportcoat and the price was hard to beat.
