The fabric should be described as very thin and near see through with a dull light behind it - this will rip if snagged. There is a hint of texture but it hard to determine behind all the wrinkles of the thin linen-like material, and it seems like there was some minor shrinkage - washed with delicates and removed damp from dryer after about 15 minutes. Stiching and craftsmanship seems good but material is weak; Good deep front pockets and small rear pockets. Made in the USA from IMPORTED fabric - this explains a lot. I was expecting more for what I paid for a pair of shorts.
