Birkenstock Arizona Sandals (For Men and Women)

I use the shoes as house slippers. They have very good arch support.

Because of the type of sole these require a breakin period to get to the point where they do not feel stiff when worn. Did not care for the color so I dyed them black, they look great now.

Since I have small, narrow feet, and it is difficult at best to find small enough shoes, I spent a long time looking for a pair of very good quality white sandals at a reasonable price. I was thrilled to get these as a Barn Burner for about $20.00. My mother got us each a pair of the pink Arizonas earlier this summer at twice that and they were still a great deal (the only thing that made us hesitate to get the white ones then was the white soles).

Having grown up in Germany (age 6 to 15) I wore these same Birks, where white sandals are a male color (unlike the US). I was pleased to see these Birkenstock sandals offered in white in adult sizes. They immediately felt good, the arch support and molded toe bar were a complete comfort. These are truely a sandal for anyone wanting simple style and comfort.

Birks run big and wide, so I am wearing the narrow for my fallen arches. The Heel cup is LOWER than the foot bed so it is a bit problematic for plantar fasciatus (pardon my spelling)which I also suffer from as well as flat feet. The more you wear them the more comfortable they get - the cork molds to your feet. They feel great, and I am hoping that my feet and shoes will find a happy medium.

The white will draw attention if you're a guy, but actually they aren't that bad if you tend to be self conscious. Birks always feel comfortable for me.

This is another great take on the B-stock Arizona (a true classic). The white leather and uncommon white Birkenstock sole make this a nice complement to summer outfits, and goes particularly well with vintage or old school summer styles. And Sierra Trading Post always means that it's a great value.
