Birkenstock Ibiza Sandals (For Women)

This sandals look very nice with almost all casual clothes. However, the leather straps are too stiff when the sandals are new. As all birkenstocks, you need to break them in. Specifically, these sandals need to be broken in for at least a week, otherwise your feet will hurt a lot and the straps could even cut your feet. Once the sandals and the straps are soft, they are the most comfortable sandals for walking since they provide great arch support.

They surely look cute and the brand name is always the subject of comfort talk. After hearing my friends and relatives bragging about them, i finally wanted to give these a try. BUT THEY ARE SO STIFF. i cannot find why they are considered comfortable? How long does it take to break in? I have tried to wear them in house with socks with two weeks - my feet still hurt from them. What if they still hurt after two months? I might have to return them. Actually I bought the same pair last year. I returned them after one week. I bought them back thinking maybe i was not tough enough to 'break them in' last time. Two weeks passed, I am still toughing through. Why do i want to torture myself like this. They sure look cute. I guess i will go with NAOT from now on. Maybe Birkenstock is just not for me.

I bought these to wear around the house, kind of like a slipper. But they're not too comfortable. I've heard that it takes some time to "break in" Birkenstocks, but I couldn't bear wearing them very long.

I wear Birks every day, mainly the Arizona model. THis is the first for the Ibiza. Seems to be a good choice. Will have to wear them in.

I like the quality of Birkenstock shoes, because I've seen how durable it is by my hubby to wear it over 9 years! so this one is for myself and I will wear it everyday!

I ordered these in a 37 which is what all of our birkies are and I had to exchange them for a 36. Your service was super...just a little disappointed that I had to spend an addl $8.00

These are very cute and the narrow straps make them a little more fashion forward that the old school Birks. Be warned though - they are very narrow! I am on the last buckle hole and I have narrow feet. This was mainly to prevent chafing though - I lost skin on the first use - and the leather will undoubtedly stretch a bit after wearing in. I'd recommend wearing thin socks under them around the house for a while.
