“Very comfy once broken in”

“Lovely bronze in color. At first the shoes were rather stiff. I got a couple blisters under the strap on one, but now that they are nicely broken in the sandles are quite comfortable. Now that I have worn them several weeks, the leather on the inner side is picking up quite a few black scuff marks from the tread of the opposite sandles. Doesn't look very nice. It doesn't rub off. I haven't tried other methods of removing the black marks yet. This is probably my 8th pair of Birkenstocks. I've learned that it is best to err on the side of a bit too big. Once you've worn them for a while, the front of the sandle tends to curl up slightly and then they will fit perfectly. If you buy them with a perfect fit in the beginning, they will become too small to accommodate your toes once the fronts start curling up. I've seen so many people in Birkenstocks that are too small for them.”
