Closeouts. Premium leather with thick accent stitching ups the style ante for Birkenstock's Ramses sandals, and a leather-covered, mold-to-you cork footbed offers the supreme comfort you expect from your Birks.

Smooth leather insole is a real treat and won't get nasty looking like the regular suede foot bed.. The entire sole including the edges are covered so it won't get broken down and crumbly like Birkenstock usually do after lots of wear.
Straps are adjustable and much wider than the other Birkenstock thongs like the woman's Gizeh style, so it definitely looks like a men's sandal. The wide straps provide a secure fit so there won't be much actually flipping flopping walking in these thongs. Breaking in the sole takes a little longer because of the leather cover but was great after about a week.
The toe piece is rigid plastic that felt strange at first but wasn't a problem after a few days. But if you are new to flip flops or barely tolerate them this style might not be the best.

The smooth grain leather insole feels great against your feet. One area of the edge lacing on the upper was a little rough but wore down quickly. Too bad I had to put them away since winter started early!

Delivery was fast and reasonably priced. Sandals are expensive for what they are, are uncomfortable to wear and the strap between the big and first toes is too thick making it unconfortable. Item returned the next day. Try the Ecco sandals instead. Much more comfortable.
