Birkenstock Sparta Leather Sandals (For Women)

Cant take them off so comfortable.

Great sandals at a bargain price. I wear them until they wear out. I get a new pair every three years. I usually buy two pair and return one in order to accommodate the difference between my foot and the European shoe size.

I was looking for a stylish sandal that can hold up to long walks in our active, stroller-friendly neighborhood and be stylish enough for my lifestyle. I am NOT one of those stay-at-home moms who languishes in t-shirts and sweats--I realize that looking good can make you feel good, and stay-at-home moms often need an emotional boost. I can wear this to our park, playdates and family-friendly cookouts with our friends. I have a very narrow foot (6 1/5 AAA), so my options are often very limited--I really lucked out with this sandal. I'll wear it with shorts, skirts, jeans and pants. It's my new go-to sandal.

My first pair of Birkenstocks and not my last!

Birkenstocks are super comfy. Only takes a few days to "break in'. I am a 9.5 to 10 (closer to 10) and wear the 41 perfectly. The beige color is great. The price for this sylish Birk is great with the extra coupons I receive

It was suggested that I order a half size smaller because they ran large. Normally I wear a 6 in shoes or a 37 in a Berk. But I ordered the 36 instead and they are a little too narrow. Not too narrow to send back however. I love the look of them with the double strap!

I love these! I followed the advice of others who suggested to buy a size down. I normally wear a 7 1/2 regular, so I ordered the 6 1/2-7 in a narrow. It is a perfect fit! (In my rating I put that they feel 1/2 size too big and too wide so that those of you who are ordering them will know to size down like I did.) These do require some breaking in, but it is not painful. That is how Birkies work, and why they are so comfortable because they conform to the individual foot. Your Birkies after breaking in will only be super comfortable to you and no one else. The strap closest to the toes is a little bit short so I have to buckle it in the last notch, which is perfect for me anyway because I don't like the strap ends sticking out and curling up on my strapped shoes. I have a high instep, so that my be the reason and may not be an issue for others with a lower instep. The blue-gray color is nice, and goes perfectly with jeans. The sparta design is very cute. I have worn these for an entire day right out of the box and did not have any blisters or rubbing. The strap I could "feel" a little, but I know it will be fine after a few more wears. Great sandle and very cute!

very nice sandals i have not had the problems others stated but you must factor in the break in period it is standard on ALL birkenstocks...love the unusual color too. Very happy

I have 12 pairs of Birkenstocks, all size 36 regular (a 6 1/2 regular size). The footbed in this shoe is slightly more narrow than the other Birkenstocks. It is not a problem for my average foot however. The arch is aggressive and controls pronation of my feet. ALL Birkenstocks start off rather stiff. Wear these shoes about 30 minutes and let the cork warm up. Then do a few squats and allow your feet to fully bend. Your shoes will then be "bent and softened" at the correct area and will feel softer to you as you walk. Over time, they will further break in and get even more comfortable.
