My toes can breathe which is great for the warm months. These also have the soft-style footbed, another thing I love about them. My only complaint is that the color online is darker than they actually are, I think these are more of a sienna/dark peach color, and I wish they were more brown. But it's the only color in my size they had (besides white), and so I'll be keeping them. Wish they had more colors in my size. I've already worn them every day since I bought them, extremely comfortable, they are great with skirts or pants.

I had the last pair 're-furbished' by an official Birkenstock repair outfit and they lasted me for several more years. The FINALLY wore out so I headed to STP for a new pair. Glad they had my size and I know I won't need any more for a while; these things last and last! And, unlike 99% of all the shoes most folks wear in this country, they are NOT made in China!

Reviewed by Chuck from Boulder, CO on Wednesday, November 07, 2012If you hike, run, or ski, Birkenstocks will heal the soreness in your legs just by standing around in them. I'm a teacher, and giving class lectures in Birkenstocks is comfortable and seems to work out whatever soreness and kinks in your legs. You have to get used to them a little bit, but by the time they break you in (ha-ha) you will think they are magic. The soles and sidewalls wear quickly, but can be maintained with Shoe-Goo and repaired by many shoeshops.

Reviewed by mudman from rainforest, WA on Saturday, October 27, 2012hey, these are great. Basically they are true to size (I got a 43 and they fit my 10 1/2 EE foot well). They run ever so slightly large though, so if you're debating sizes, you might order a size down. The strap adjustment system allows more latitude for a looser fit than it does for a tighter fit. not recommended for climbing Mt Everest, although they make wonderful sandals.
