  • Question “can this belt be cut down to a smaller size”

Asked on 12/8/2009 12:00:00 AM by bob from Unknown
    • Answer There are multiple sizes to begin with, but yes. You could cut down a webbing belt with a hot knife or other similar means. Just make sure that the webbing does not unravel (seal it with heat).

    • Answer I cut them down to size all the time. Cut the belt about 1/8 of an inch longer than needed and then put a flame to it end to melt it so it won't fray. I have about 10 that I've done that to.

    • Answer You can easily cut down any nylon belt. Simply cut it to the desired length then seal the cut by slowly moving the it through the flame of a butane lighter. Don't over torch it and let it cool before touching.
