This is one of two Bison belts I've purchased from STP. This is significantly better than the one with the duck design. It is much softer and holds, cinched, in the buckle better than the other sku. Both were rather low-cost items and it wasn't worth the trouble to me or to STP for their cost of restocking to return the other belt.

I don't know what the differences are in the same belt but mine will not stay tight. It slips very easily and I'm constantly tightening it. Tried it a couple of days and will get rid of it. It's very thin and I think that's part of the reason it ships.

I purchased this belt about 6 months ago and it has been my go to choice for outdoor activities. So impressed, I purchased another for my son. Solid, durable and well made. Some might say a little heavy on the buckle, but the design prevents slips while easy to loosen. Buckle up.

I already have the black belt with this buckle and its black fabric is thinner and slicker that the brown one I just received. The brown fabric is more substantial and fibrous and, along with the width, is best suited for larger belt loops. I do not experience any slippage at all with this brown belt, though I do not recall any issues with my earlier purchase either. It seems to be a lighter and more adjustable alternative to a leather belt for my jeans or lined chinos.
