The Black Diamond Factor 130 was an Editor's Choice for a couple of years by Backcountry Magazine in the circa 2009-2012 time period. This is my second year skiing with them, and they've been great. Fit has been superb. Snow feel, responsiveness and warmth have all been great. No complaints. I would buy them again.

Oh how I wanted these boots to fit! The BOA system is amazing, the boots are infinitely adjustable and the sole is perfect for hiking. Then I stood up. Although the 27 should be my size (I'm a 9M 10.5F), it was a half size too small. My loss is your gain if you've got an 8.5 foot.
